Browning a5 problems.

my hypothesis is that the bolt latch assembly is bent and causing the latch to not engage properly. if i put my hand on the inside of the receiver and apply pressure to the latch assembly, the latch will then engage and hold the bolt open. Browning A5 cycling problems. I have an A5 that I bought used about 4 months ago that cycled fine when I got it. Now it will load and fire first shot but once second shot is loaded into chamber, I cant even pull the trigger without switching the saftey on and themn back off. So, I have to fire first shot, switch safety on, off and fire again.

I talked to Art ages ago when I picked up a shooter grade 16 from the 30's. He said that to properly convert a 2 9/16" gun to 2 3/4" is more expensive than most of them are worth. If you had a high grade 2 9/16" gun, the conversion would wreck the value. Converting just the barrel is possible, but I wouldn't.

It seems that after it auto loads the first round there is a bar that is positioned too close to the magazine tube that will not allow any ...When looking at the mag tube, it appears that the mag cap pushes down on the end spacer (movable end cap that the spring fits into) and this then blocks the last shell. Is there some way to fix this on my own. Dec 10, 2020 · My gun was not locking back after shooting Browning Dove&Clay loads. Sometimes the bolt would slam back and bite the brass head of the shell in the receiver. I had bought 250 rounds of it. 225 gave me issues at the trap range or dove fields in September.

After this usually it fails to eject about every two shots, then gets to the point where every shot fails and you have to eject the shells manually.
