Rather surprised as side by side to my 33's these are monsters. There was a 3" difference because they are on 8.5" wheels.

4.56s and 35s would be the equivalent of 4.10s on stock size tires, 265-70-17. That would have the motor humming along at 2190 rpms at 70 mph without torque converter slippage, add 10-25 rpms for that. That's a little steep for my tastes. However, LT Holman's supercharged 4.8 ran pretty well on stock size tires and 4.30 gears.

You do in fact need a 4in lift to clear 35's as well as trimming. The amount of trimming needed depends on use, driving style, spring rate, vehicle weight, wheel backspacing, tire width, etc. The issue being overlooked here is that the truck in question has tires that do not fit with the use of most drivers.
